TENS Machines - Drug Free Pain Relief
I've used TENS machines for pain relief for all of my labours - and I highly recommend them! I used TENS along with gas and air, and pethadine with my 1st labour. Epidurals did not work on me, so this was all I had.
TENS units can be hired but I found mine so useful for 'other pain' not related to childbirth that I bought one. In fact I've bought 2 in my time - the latest is the super-sexy Elle TENS.
Check out eBay for great deals on TENS machines and the electrodes that go with them - many machines will be 'used only once', as mothers have used them for labour and nothing else.
